Hello! Thanks for stopping by. I’m Loren (with an ‘o’), and that weird face up in the corner is a portrait that an old friend did of me with her eyes shut… spitting image, I know. I’m a Christchurch based film and television editor, which basically means, I’m a storyteller!

With a love of lenses from a young age, taking my own films from the ripe age of seven, I found myself studying film and television after my high school careers advisor told me not to become a photographer, and to become a bee keeper instead (I'm deathly allergic). So… we compromised.

I have a love for beautiful imagery of this world and those who inhabit it. I’m really interested in editing pieces on social, environmental and climate issues, poetic and meaningful short films, as well as supporting and promoting local and sustainable businesses and artists. I want to tell stories that make people heard, seen, and understood, and for my work to showcase inclusiveness and be as fulfilling as possible.

My one true love in film is documentary. I’ve shared dozens of life stories, and I go above and beyond to put myself in the shoes of talent. You’ll find me out at rough seas or in the middle of a desert on a push bicycle (literally, much to my detriment) to make the most of encapsulating moments. But, I also adore music, and collaborating on music videos with local artists.

Although most of the time I’m hiding away in my edit booth crafting stories, you’ll also find me behind the lens every now and then. People are my thing, and I love capturing their beautiful faces on both analogue and digital formats.
